Obsidian Arts supports the growth of ideas . . . valuing artists, curators, and art historians in the examination of black history and culture.  Founded in 2003, Obsidian Arts works to share history through art, get artists connected, and push artistic innovation.
 
The gallery and black art library are open:

Thursdays (4 p.m. to 8 p.m.)
Fridays (6 p.m. to 10 p.m.)
Saturday (1 p.m. to 4 p.m.)
(except for the 2nd Saturday)
(Other times by appointment)
 
TAWU artist group meetings are held every 2nd Saturday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 1832 Columbus Ave.
